The Asheville School of Massage & Yoga is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Approved Provider # 450444-07.

Unless otherwise noted:

  • Workshops are usually 3, 7, 14, or 21 contact hours.  The cost of course are listed in individual course descriptions.
  • Class times for a 21 hour weekend course are usually:  Friday 1pm-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm.  Single 7 hour courses are from 9am-5pm. Times for 3 hour and series courses vary.
  • For all bodywork classes, please bring one set of twin sheets per day plus massage oil or cream (in a spill-proof container).
  • Tables are provided by the school.
  • There will be a 1-hour lunch break on full days (Saturday, & Sunday); bring a bag lunch or come prepared to buy lunch at one of the restaurants close-by.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

You can register for a class at the bottom on each course listing through Pay Pal. For more information or to register by phone, call the Asheville School of Massage & Yoga: (828) 252-7377. Full payment is due via credit card or check at the time of registration. Some teacher are from out of town, so classes are cancelled 2 weeks before the scheduled course date if there are not enough students.  If you’re interested in a class, don’t wait to sign up.

Cancellations: If we need to cancel a course, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel two weeks prior to class you will receive a full refund.  Cancellations of less than two weeks no refund will be given.

    These Sessions are on a Donation Basis.

    Come, enjoy the benefits of silent group meditation.  The practice is once a month, spending at least one hour in silent meditation, with an additional 10-30 minutes of meditation tips on technique and how to deepen our practices by ulitizing the tools you already have. This group meditation is intended for intermediate to advance meditators or for individuals who can sit quietly, intently for an hour and would like to become intermediate to advanced meditators.

    Invite your firends, colleagues and family who want to make the most of their meditation practices.

    Ryan Kurczak, an ordained Kriya Yoga teacher has practiced a daily meditation since 2000. He has been inspired by Zen teachings, Ramana Maharshi, Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts and Vasistha’s Yoga.

     

  • Community Meditation Seminar

    Our goal in this two hour seminar is to provide support and guidance for you to develop a solid personal meditation practice. Step by step routines will be provided to deepen practical understanding and application of the meditation process. Your questions will be answered clearly and common obstacles to practice will be addressed and avoided.

    Beginners will learn to create a personal and fulfilling meditation practice. Experienced meditators will have the opportunity to refresh their current practice.
