Our 500-hour Massage Certification Program is designed to provide an academically excellent education in the field of massage and bodywork therapy. By the end of the 500-­hour program, students will be able to:

• Understand the anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology of the human body and be able to apply that understanding to the practice of massage and bodywork therapy.
• Draw from a diverse knowledge of modalities to create effective and individualized massage sequences.
• Feel comfortable and confident applying their skills professionally in a variety of settings.

Curriculum

Fundamental Theory & Practice of Massage and Bodywork Therapy 1, 2, & 3 (236 hours)
Western Science for Massage (100 hours)
Somatic Psychology (20 hours)
Business Practices & Marketing (15 hours)
Supervised Student Clinic (100 hours)
Professional Ethics (10 hours)
NC Rules and Laws (5 hours)
Professional Development for Massage Therapists (14 hours)

Weekend Schedule Format

Regular classes for the 500-hour program are held on weekends (Fri 5:30-9, Sat & Sun 9-5) to accommodate Monday through Friday work schedules. Our 500-hour program takes 11 months to complete with class time distributed over 20 weekends. Additionally, students sign up to do 20 clinic shifts throughout the program. Our supervised student clinic is held Friday-Sunday with two clinic shift options from 10:45a-3:45p or 3:45p-8:45p.
