In this 7 hour class students will:

  • Gain greater understanding of the tensional patterns that create dysfunction in the neck and simple techniques to create positive lasting changes in those patterns
  • Grow confident in locating and treating tension and trigger points in the sterno-cleido-mastoid muscles, the anterior- middle- and posterior-scalenes, the upper trapezius, and the subocciptal group.

Participants will be taught simple and effective techniques, anchored in clear anatomy instruction.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Cat Matlock has been a licensed massage therapist and bodyworker since 1993, dedicating her practice to the understanding and relieving of the tensional systems which create chronic pain in our bodies. She began studying trigger point therapy in the mid-90s and complements that work with her vast study of fascial and soft tissue release to support the trigger point work. Cat has taught anatomy, kinesiology, trigger point therapy, yoga, rolling therapeutics and self trigger point massage, and integrative massage since 2000.
