This class is designed to fulfill the continuing education ethics (Standard V) requirement for NC, and National massage and bodywork licensing.
Referencing North Carolina as well as the NCBTMB code of ethics, participants will learn the basics of client-practitioner dynamics and why professional boundaries are so important to protect both our clients and ourselves. Participants will learn how to create safe relationships by exploring the following topics: common dilemmas and how to solve them, dealing with sexual issues, boundaries, confidentiality, fees, draping, scope of practice and dual relationships.
Pripo Teplitsky, MA, PLC, LMBT, offers a divers practice that balances the connection between mind, body and spirit. He is a licensed and nationally certified massage and bodywork therapist, with over 16 years experience. He has taught CE courses for 12 years including over 200 ethics courses. Pripo also holds a master’s degree in counseling/psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. he lived, studied and worked at Esalen Institute, a renowned human potential learning center in Big Sur, CA, where he became a certified Esalen massage practitioner. Pripo has a private practice in Asheville, NC in massage as well as a counseling practice specializing in relationship issues. His main goal is to help support people live in their truth and authenticity.
