We are launching a new 500-hour Massage Certification Program this summer. Here’s what our Director, Shala Worsley, says about the new curriculum:
Over the past 10 years folks have been asking me for a massage certification program they can attend on the weekends, so I’m thrilled to announce: it’s finally here! To those of you who’ve been wishing for a chance to come to our school even if you live out of town or work during the week, this is for YOU.
The 500-hour weekend program is sleek and stream-lined. We’ve trimmed hours off of our Western Science, Yoga, Self-care, and Business courses in order to fit this program into a 11-month time frame while maintaining a stellar curriculum.
The prospective student this program was designed for can be described by one or more of the following:
- Anyone interested in becoming a massage therapist who can only attend classes on the weekends
- Professionals from other health-care fields who are looking for an adjunct career (ex: nutritionists, chiropractors, physical therapists, yoga teachers, personal trainers, etc.)
- Those with already well established yoga or other self-care practices (Of course, yoga and self-care are not completely excluded from the weekend program. You’ll still enjoy asana in science class to get a real feel for muscular system. Self-care is woven into the massage courses in the form of body mechanics, grounding/centering techniques, and pre-post massage stretches for the therapist and client.)
If the thought of coming to school one or two weekends a month and getting certified as a massage therapist in under a year appeals to you, then please check out our new 500-hour Weekend Massage Certification Program which begins July 2016.
